Andreas Vaterlaus serves as the Vice Rector for Curriculum Development, in which role he assists the Rector in matters related to curriculum development and innovation processes.
Werner Wegscheider is the President of University Assembly, in which he also represents the ETH teaching faculty.
Gabriel Aeppli is heading the external page Photon Science Division at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI).
Klaus Ensslin serves as the Director of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Quantum Science and Technology (QSIT), which is funded the Swiss National Science Foundation. Within NCCR QSIT, LFKP members enjoy a fruitful collaboration with groups in other institutes, departments and universities, and with industry.
The members of the Institute also benefit from the excellent clean room facilities provided by the FIRST centre for micro- and nanoscience. They are actively involved in the organization of the FIRST lab (Klaus Ensslin, Andreas Wallraff and Christian Degen).
Members of the Institute are actively involved as well in the Binnig and Rohrer Nanotechnology Center (BRNC), which is located on the campus of the IBM Zurich Research Laboratories in Rüschlikon. Andreas Wallraff and Christian Degen currently serve on the BRNC Board.
